At more than 6,000 years old, Ayurveda is considered the world’s oldest health system. Ayurveda means “knowledge of life” and describes man as a whole—composed of many properties. Ayurveda works with three basic energies of nature called vata, pitta, and kapha. They can be regarded as the three original energy principles governing all physical and psychological processes.
Ayurveda is the art of living in harmony with nature on a daily basis. As an ancient natural wisdom, Ayurveda emphasizes returning our bodies to a natural state of balance by teaching self-healing, proper diet and nutrition, cooking skills, healthier lifestyles, exercise, proper breathing techniques, use of meditation, medicinal herbs, and cleansing and rejuvenation programs for healing the entire body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda is tailored for each person as whole and encourages active participation in creating your own well-being program.
By incorporating Ayurveda into your daily life, you will begin to improve your health so that you can lead a more fulfilling life. You will empower yourself with knowledge that has stood the test of time. You will discover that the basic energies in nature can be used to create harmony, peace, and happiness in all areas of your life, no matter where you are and no matter how much you are struggling right now. Ayurvedic knowledge will forever change how you view the world around you and show you the steps needed to have a lifestyle that is in harmony with the world around you and full of abundance from sources you may not have even considered before.
